Abortion - it's a touchy subject, and one I'll not go into just now.  Instead, I want to tell you about a group I've started that is designed to help mothers who've chosen to keep their child, and indeed, to honour them for their (literally) life-changing descision.  This group was inspired by a similar one in California, run by a lovely woman named Tabitha.  For legal reasons, I am unable to be advertise under the same name as that group.
My group is called QUILTERs For Life, and, as the name implies, it focuses on making baby quilts to donate to different pregnancy centers.  The quilts will then be given to babies who need them, in the hopes of blessing their lives and easing the burden on their families.
To get this group started, I'm going to need a lot of help - which is where you, my dear readers, come into play.
I'm asking each of you to do one of the following; I'll give examples of how it can be done, and of the impact it can have:

1. Spread the word.</i>
The easiest and most important thing you could do to help would be to get the word out.  Tell your friends, tell your family, or Facebook/Twitter/MySpace it.  Start a chain email, or blog it - make it a news article here, or write your own journal!  You can even copy paste this, if you'd like.
This might not seem like a very big help, but look at an example of the impact it can have.  Say one out of every 50 watchers I have copies this journal; that's 3 people.  Now, let's say that each of them has 3 watchers copy and paste, which is but the work of a moment.  That number is now 9 people.  The numbers quickly multiply into triple digits, all thanks to three of you awesome people.  Within days, THOUSANDS of people can know about this!
Of course, I can but hope and pray that some of them will get involved - which brings us to the next step.

2. Start a group.</i>
My group is, until it grows larger, for my city only.  This means that there are many, MANY areas without a QUILTERs group, especially outside of the States.  If you'd like to create one, go for it!  Get some friends together and have sewing bees!  If you can't sew, but know how to knit or crochet, make an afghan!  And if you can't do any of this, or think sewing is for sissies, find someone who can and help out!  You can donate fabric for the quilts (even old clothes will do) or contact local pregnancy centers to make sure they'll accept the quilts!  Everyone can do something to help.

3. Pray!</i>The most important thing you can do to help is to pray for the success of this group - or shall I call it a ministry?  Anyone can do this simple step, even if they're doing one of the other two.

I hope this has convinced at least some of you to step up and help.  I would love if this gorup could become a nationwide (or even worldwide!) phenomenon - but it all starts, right here, right now, with you.  Don't let age or location stop you - just get out there and DO something!

Thank you, and God bless you all,
Tasha

"Even though I am just a young lady - a small voice in a big world - I believe I can do great things for God's glory.  I am just a humble servant, geared up to face any challenge my Master sets before me."
-Jazzy Dytes

"It doesn't really matter how young we are.  It doesn't matter if we have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.  It doesn't matter the colour of our skin or where we're from.  Anybody can make a difference and be a voice for the voiceless."
-Zach Hunter

"We're too young to know certain things are impossible, so we will do them anyway."
-Amazing Grace

"Do not say to yourself, 'I am only a youth,' for where I send you, you shall go, and what I command you, you shall speak."
-God
