School is out (for most of us) and summer has begun. Memorial Day is a day to celebrate, to party with friends, to get together and just hang out and take it easy. But does anyone ever remember what Memorial Day is really about?
Memorial Day marks a rather large get together for my family. We invite friends, have a barbeque, play some games, and enjoy life together. We also remember the reason for the day, and the families who aren’t so lucky.
Today is a day where we remember and honour those who have fought and died for us.
Today is a day where we honour those who still live and fight for us.
Today is a day where we pray for the families of those who didn’t make it.
Today is a day where we pray for the families of those who can’t be with them today.
Today, my friends, is a day where we remember the sacrifices made in our name, and today is hopefully a day where we praise God for all the brave men and women of the armed forces, be they Military, Police, Firemen, Coast Guard, or Border Patrol.
Today is a day worth remembering - because those we celebrate and mourn for will never be forgotten.
I ask a favor of you today. If you see anyone in uniform, thank them for all that they do. These brave people are willing to fight and die for us - are you willing to acknowledge that?

Writing once more
That's right, I'm back to focusing on my book! I hope to finish it this year.
What, you may ask, inspired this? Well, I checked out a fantastic book called Legacy from my local library, and I devoured it yesterday. It's an amazingly well written book, and I was really surprised to see that the author was only 16. I checked out her website and found a fun little widget there that led me to a website called writeordie.com. It's a brilliant site that prompts you to write x number of words in y ammount of time (your choice). If you stop writing for too long, the screen goes red and it starts deleting your words - very motivational! The ta

So, I finally realized that I had so many messages and deviations that I could never catch up (again!) Because of this, I have taken certain...steps. :evillaugh:
I have deleted all of my messages, deviations, journals, anything and everything that I could. It's glorious to log on to a big fat 0 for the first time in years! If you've messaged me about anything important, please let me know.
I also went through and cleaned out my deviant watch list. All the people that I watched just because they were nice that I haven't spoken to in months - they've been cleared out; I've also left most of the groups I was part of. This will mean that I
